Change is a constant

Looking back, we start to reflect on the past year. What one thing would you like to do different and why? What was the most important lesson learnt? What is the greatest obstacle or change you have faced?

We face changes every day. From a simple weather change, flight delay to unexpected rescheduling. Changes affect every single one of us. And we deal with it in different ways. Changes are a normal part of life, it’s inevitable. This change is a constant, the one and only thing we can definitely be sure that will happen.

Many see changes as an obstacle and challenge. Others see it as progression. The thought of changes can bring fear where you see unforeseen circumstances or situations happen that you can’t or are afraid to deal with. It does not dictate your life but simply how well you handle it. How well we handle those changes will impact on how we are able to make decision later on in our life journey. 

Change is progress. Change is growth. To progress, we need changes in life. Below we share tips on how to handle change:

  1. Maintain a positive attitude.
    Stay optimistic and maintain a good attitude.

  2. Recognize that change is constant. 
    Accept it and embrace it.

  3. Self-reflect. 
    Take time off to relax and reflect on what you have already accomplished and what are your goals.

  4. Upgrade and learn new skills. 
    As we move into the digital world, we have to start looking ahead. To keep up with the competitive edge, new skills are needed.

Change is an inevitable part of life.  Whether you are ready or not, it happens. Embrace the beauty of change. The process that helps us grow and excel in life.
